  • (213595) - Bouncers
  • (208029) - Get cops called on you, at home just go pass out
  • (199969) - Body guards
  • (198491) - bouncers will kick you out---at home the cops come
  • (191872) - There are bouncers/security
  • (190136) - In any case I have seen, the belligerent drinkers have either been arrested or asked to leave.
  • (190063) - They actually handle beligerent drinkers
  • (190043) - Well for the most part, I would say bars handle the situation better. This is so because more often than not, parents are not at private residences during underage consumption. So, usually there are no sober individuals. However, at a bar there are people paid to deal with those that cannot handle themselves.
  • (189891) - some bars deny entry or the right to serve if the person is too drunk
  • (189872) - Bars are more responsible when it comes to noticing problematic individuals when an apt would probably just make the person leave. Also, cops are called and individuals are kicked out when they are threatening to others.
  • (189793) - In either situation, a fight takes time to break up. If you are in a private place, people let the fight go on for awhile then break it up. Same thing with a bar. If people are fighting in a bar, it takes a few minutes to break it up.
12. In your experience, how well do bars handle those who have over indulged compared to private residences? (Required)
   Better 24 34%
   Worse 9 13%
   The same 15 21%
   Not sure/No experience 22 31%

  • (213595) - Cut off
  • (208029) - More fun at bar, they got pool tables
  • (191872) - They cut them off, at a private residence that rarely happens
  • (190136) - Both have a point where they will cut the person off
  • (190063) - They actually handle those who have over indulged
  • (189872) - Bars are more responsible when it comes to noticing someone who is too intoxicated/passed out when an apt would probably just make the person leave. If it is necessary a bar will call an ambulance or taxi so that individual gets the correct care needed.
  • (189793) - People are going to drink regardless if they are 21 or not. They will find alcohol or have someone by them alcohol. So they will drink no matter where they are in the bar or in the dorms.
  • (189776) - its hard to say, bars don't really kick you out unless you make some sort of public scene.
  • (189766) - The bars try to find someone to help them private residences just take them to their room
  • (189752) - Bartenders will walk you home and tuck you in and make sure you don't vomit in your sleep.
  • (189686) - if somebody looks like they've drank to much at a bar, they'll just kick them out of the bar

  • (317952) - its fin
  • (214494) - People are going to drink, no matter what the age. If they're old enough, they can buy it themselves. If they're younger, they can get someone to purchase for them.
  • (208029) - Younger people can't handle the liquor and that leads to alchole poising
  • (201328) - your brain isnt fully developed til your 21. (is that even true!?!?!?)
  • (197430) - To 20
  • (190136) - I feel that the drinking age should be 19; high schoolers should not be drinking
  • (190063) - If you can go to war and die for your country at 18, then why can't you drink.
  • (190043) - I believe it should remain unchanged with one exception. It should be lowered on college campuses..perhaps to 19. It is going to happen regardless and might as well keep it confined to an area where young adolescents are not driving. Drinking tickets and silly arrests have a profound impact on our children's futures. It is a shame that money hungry police officers make such a big deal out of what really is not a big deal at all. We have the highest drinking age in the world, yet we seem to have the most problems with alcohol. If we tell kids that alcohol is evil all through childhood and they come to realize that it really is not a big deal at all, then we should not be surprised when they abuse it. I believe that when I am a parent, I will supervise my child when they begin to experiment with alcohol. I believe that by learning to handle myself at an early age while under the influence it has helped me to become a model citizen while drinking in public. Kids that have no experience with alcohol practically have it written on their foreheads while out at a bar and it is not only embarrassing for the individual, but it is dangerous.
  • (189906) - If you can serve in the Military at 18, you should be able to drink at 18.
  • (189872) - Increasing the age will not stop those who drink while underaged and decreasing the drinking age will just increase the number of accidents associated with alcohol.
  • (189793) - I think it would help change the amount of people drinking and driving. By decreasing the legal age limit, I feel people will not feel as invincible and realize that it is stupid to drink and drive.
