  • (288802) - Safe and consented sex is always permissable, even for the sake of sex itself.
  • (274952) - vSgoJvSGH
  • (139705) - Howard
  • (115154) - I make a distinction between what I find acceptable for myself, and what I find acceptable for people in general. I don't have a problem with casual sex in general, it's just not for me.
  • (113272) - Sex with or without the orgasm means nothing without truely loving your partner
  • (112872) - some of these issues, like 9, are a little bit more complex than just a yes or no answer.
  • (112775) - I think casual sex, multiple partners, etc. can be okay for others but I don't personally think they are for me, and while a great sexual relationship can be an important part of a relationship, it's not a make or break deal for me (I won't date or break up with someone over sex).
  • (112008) - #18 is asking two different questions - I would say techniques get better, knowledge of partner gets better, but NRE fades, so sex not necessarily better per se.
  • (111868) - That's how I view it for myself, but I pass no judgements on the sexual inclinations of others.
  • (111841) - Sex can be and do all sorts of things. I don't care what or how it is, so long as all people involved agree to it and the situation.
  • (111719) - I found that some of these questions can not be answered accurately with a simple yes or no response.
  • (111704) - 13. It depends on who the other people are and what attitude they have towards us having sex in their presence!
  • (111678) - I have none,
  • (111640) - It's sometimes hard to pick yes or no. It really depends on each particular situation.
  • (111632) - Re #7 - no specific desire to seek out many partners, but rather to explore the connections that I find as I move through life. Re #18 - this can go both ways, as experience and understanding come with a risk of complacency!
  • (111626) - sex is best when it's meaningful between 2 people in love but it doesn't mean that a one night stand can't be hot and enjoyable!
  • (111607) - I prefer sex with very close friends and/or a romantic partner.
  • (111598) - My answers are totally contadictory...but I am 50-50 about sex and long term relationship (been married for 2 years)
  • (111586) - Question 5 should have Agree or Disagree as the answer choices. As it is there is more than one way to read the question.
  • (111561) - In reference to question 9, I would be okay with being polyamorous if I found more than one person that I loved deeply, but so far, this has not happened.
  • (111515) - I answered according to my opinion of others as well, e.g., "Sex as a simple exchange of favors is okay if both people agree to it." - I said yes because I support someone else doing so, even if I would not do so myself.
  • (111463) - Sex is great, but it's not everything
  • (111456) - Q 11 - It depends how you mean NSA - if like you mean that it doesn't have to be in a relationship, then yes. If you mean that there is no obligation to the other person(s), then no - there is at least the obligation to make the exerience enjoyable.

111461. pretty well split but still mostly men in general
111484. It varies greatly. I have friends all up and down the sexuality spectrum and it's not really a factor in who I am friends with.
111487. It varies greatly. I have friends all up and down the sexuality spectrum and it's not really a factor in who I am friends with.

111575. pretty equal mix of everyone
111586. My oreference is mixed company, but right now it seems like I am spending too much time with heteros.
111599. Everyone!
111607. Statistically, more of my friends are straight than bi and more are bi than gay, but bisexuality is treated like a default.
111610. it varies... no set answer for me
111632. A mix of all of the above as well as queer, trans, etc.
111719. Sexual identity is not a factor when I make friends with a person.
111798. In previous location, predominantly bi, gay, and trans social group; very few out people in this area
111841. It's all one world. But since I'm married most of those around me are hetero, the gay world doesn't always accept me and it's hard to find Bi.
111844. would love to spend more time with homosexuals/bisexuals, but it just doesn't seem to happen (due to my current social contacts)
111871. I do not have control over the sexual preference of the people I am around, I don't know the sexual preference of most of the people I come in contact with during my day. Do you mean, who do I socialize with in my free time?
113719. My social circle consists of an equarl array of gay, heterosexual, and bisexual individuals.
113809. About equal amounts of time in Gay and heterosexual. There aren't many out bisexuals in my area, or I would try to hang out with them more than I do.

  • (288802) - Hopefully the results help you.

  • (112775) - Just thought I'd point out that although Klein's sexual orientation grid takes into account the fluidity of sexual orientation and identity better as well as more than just sexual behavior, it is still not perfect since it relies on on defining one's self by the gender we're attracted to when gender identity is greater than just two categories. As always, there's also a problem with having a limited number of responses (what's the difference between 'heterosexual mostly' and 'heterosexual somewhat more'?) but that's a persistent problem in research. I love sexual and gender identity research! Go you!
  • (112008) - i'm finding it easiest to answer when drunk. i think that says more about me than about your survey though.
  • (111718) - On the subject of Fantasies how does sensual ones (ones that do not involve any of the actions you described) fit into your survey?
  • (111704) - On the subject of cheating - it can only be defined for me in terms of breaking of agreements. If I agree to ask permission before having sex with someone, for example, and then go ahead without asking then that's cheating!
  • (111626) - i'm assuming that in question 32, "outside of the relationship" means things you've done outside the relationship while in the relationship and not before or after?
  • (111599) - I know you're trying to be open, and still quantifiable, so I can't really fault it, but it seems like this survey is a little black and white. THere need to be more large comment boxes like this one to explain things.
  • (111598) - Good luck with your research!!! Survey was done really well!
