- (368325) - 18 if married. Bearing a child or a serious STI has far more life-long impact than voting on a politician who is in power for 4 years. If cognitive development suggests that a 17 year old is too young to vote, I would argue that they are also too young to have sex, as the personal consequence of sexual activity far outweigh that of filling out a ballot. Studies have shown that youth can reason as well as adults while not under pressure, however their emotional maturity remains undeveloped( http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/10/091007153745.htm). Based on experience, I know that adolescent sexual encounters are rarely reasoned or planned in a way that is devoid of peer-pressure and thoughtless hormonal progression.

- (368325) - I think faith groups are in a tough spot. I believe that their moral standard is right. However, as adolescence is beginning younger and marriage in our culture is happening later, the years in between are increasingly difficult to navigate sexually. I don't have an easy answer, but I think those years need to be approached honestly and creatively.
- (367243) - Most faiths don't talk about sex much it seems, for christains it is reserved for marrage which makes sense to me.
- (367202) - Too lenient. Sew outside of marriage is a sin. Unfortunately it is seen as aceptable and alright to do.

However now I do not regret what I do with my current partner. And I wonder why. I do feel as though I am in a better place spiritually, yet I don't feel the same guilt or shame that I had before.
